Walking

Walking
Walking to find a good place to work, out of the sun,
hoping for a spot in a shadow.

The opening reception

Last night's opening reception was amazing.
Each guest's presence was felt,
each moment was meaningful.

Favorite worn armchair

The lamp next to my chair is already lit; it will still be a few hours before the sun brightens the living room window. Nevertheless, I scribe the first words of the day with the indelible black India. My writing hand is still a bit stiff. As it loosens, the “As” and “Gs” come much more smoothly, and quickly, and gradually I am lost in a world of thee and thou for at least the next eight hours.
